Really enjoyed the tour! The food we had was much better quality than in the restaurants - but I would never have the guts to actually buy these from the market stalls myself! :) highly recommend!

If you're looking for an authentic food experience in Marrakech, this tour is a must. Our guide, Smail, was outstanding and transformed what could have been a simple food tour into a fascinating introduction to Moroccan culture, history, and daily life. Over the course of the tour, we sampled a wide variety of local specialties that are rarely found in guidebooks or tourist-oriented restaurants: Msemen, Traditional Moroccan mint tea, Bissara, Kefta Mkaouara, Mixed brochettes – including kefta, beef liver, and turkey, Spiced Moroccan chicken, Freshly prepared lentils with local seasonings, Fruit panaché smoothie, served as dessert, A selection of Moroccan pastries and sweets, including Feqqas, Chebakia, Briouat, and Bastilla. What made this experience truly unique is that all of these dishes were served at small, family-run, no-name food stalls hidden throughout the Medina. These are places we would never have discovered on our own. Many of the vendors speak little or no French.

Very kind and informative host, great foods

Ismael was our host for the day. Luckily, it was just me and my husband in the group, so the experience didn’t feel rushed. We had plenty or time to enjoy the Food, chat with Ismael, and learn moré about the local culture. We tried many different dishes, and every single One was delicious. Our fav was the dish with eggs and minced meat-it was incredibly flavourful plus they serve it with spicy harissa. Ismael was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience enjoyable. We highly recommend this food experience tour!

Ismail was a very knowledgeable and engaging host. He took us to some great spots to try Moroccan food deep in the medina. These were real local spots - most of them didn't have names so would've been very hard to find otherwise. A brilliant introduction to local food. Highly recommend.

Lhoussaine was a knowledgeable and engaging guide. The tour brought to areas close to the main square, but also to a few more local spots at the edge of the Medina. For me, the shakshuka-style dish, meat skewers, msemen pancakes, snails, sheep head, and the herbal drink were highlights.

Excellent tour, every bite was delicious and we definitely went to spots we would not have found on our own. Highly recommend!

This tour is a great way to try a wide range of Moroccan food in a short amount of time without having to figure it out on your own. The guide was friendly, engaging, and kept things moving at a comfortable pace while still letting the group enjoy each stop. There was a good mix of foods from traditional breakfast items and Harira soup to sfenj (Moroccan donuts), barbecue, and fresh smoothies. I also appreciated that the tour felt flexible. You’re not rushed, but you’re also not stuck if you’re full and ready to move on. It wrapped up at a good time, which made it easy to still enjoy the evening after. Overall, it’s a solid way to experience the local food scene with some guidance and context instead of just guessing your way through it.

Hassan was a very fun and engaging host! He really made sure the group connected and that we made fun together! Although the tour got off to a late start, Hassan made up for it with his energy and character. All the food we ate was delicious and off the beaten track. I would not have eaten at some of these stalls on my own so that made the tour feel adventurous and like you were eating like a local! The tour lasted much longer than expected but this is Morocco! I recommend this tour but just approach it with a flexible mind set!

A great tour of so many different areas of the Medina and food to match. Excellent hosts and so much food, make sure you start on an empty stomach.

Absolutely phenomenal experience. The tour guides were knowledgeable and friendly. I learned a lot about the Moroccan cuisine and tried new things. I also liked my group. Would recommend this to anyone!

Take this food tour! Don’t even question it. My friend and I decided to do this experience last minute and it was one of the top 2 highlights of our trip. We were taken to about 8/9 places. You experience everything from Moroccan breakfast to dinner and dessert. The guides did a great job interacting with all of us (we were a bigger group) and making sure everyone stayed together. Come open minded, hungry and ready to learn.

Hassan is a wonderful, caring tour guide with a fantastic sense of humour. He really cares about ensuring you have a varied experience trying many different types of food. Not only do you come away with a great understanding of Moroccan food culture, he also shares his knowledge of history too - a brilliant experience! Would thoroughly recommend!!

Sehr schöne Tour! Bringt etwas mehr Zeit mit! Am Anfang hatten wir viel Hunger und konnten es kaum abwarten etwas zu essen zu bekommen. Am Ende der Tour war es dann doch viel zu viel- leider. Vielleicht beim nächsten Mal die ersten Stopps etwas kürzer halten. Leider mussten wir zum Schluß früher gehen, da die Kids nicht mehr konnten. Hat aber riesig Spaß gemacht!

A very engaging tour through the back streets used by locals, to find a great variety of foods, with a knowledgeable guide, all of which made the evening fun and entertaining.

We had an amazing evening on this food tour! Our guides were incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating throughout the experience. Despite being a group of 13, everything ran seamlessly, and every stop was absolutely delicious. Even our vegetarian was thoroughly impressed, which says a lot! This is truly a must-do experience for anyone visiting Marrakech, perfect if you’re looking for something unique, memorable, and full of authentic local flavour.

Our two guides were excellent and took great care of us and provided a lot of information about the food as well as culture. They even made sure to accommodate one of us who is vegetarian. Cannot say enough. More than enough to eat. Wonderful experience!

Hassan was an excellent host, and showed us some great spots around the medina for local dishes. He was informative about the history of each dish, and also funny. We tried the sheep’s head too which was surprisingly good. Must do for foodie people!

BOOK THIS TOUR YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!! We only went to the places that locals also frequent and the quality of the fold was amazing. The guide is funny, knowledgeable, and flexible. If he noticed we were interested in something that wasn’t originally part of the tour he was happy to introduce us to whatever we were looking at. Such an amazing experience!

This was such a great tour. It was only my brother and I but Lhoussaine still made it so special. He is so knowledgeable and we got to try food we would have never tried on our own. Truly our favorite activity of the trip. 10/10 recommend.

Marrakesh has beautiful restaurants and rooftops, but this tour is perfect if you want to try what locals actually eat. Our guide, Smail, took us to places we never would have tried on our own. There’s plenty of food, and you can always go for seconds. Smail also shared interesting facts about Marrakesh along the way. We really enjoyed this tour, it made our trip extra special.

The evening tour during Ramadan was a great experience. We enjoyed exploring hidden culinary gems of Marrakesh with Smail. Our tour group consist of 9 people and it was ideal to chat and share the experience.

Guides were very funny and knowledgeable and we tried a variety of food along the way. Highly recommend!

It was a brilliant tour, Lhoussaine was very knowledgeable and extremely accommodating to my vegetarianism as well (not easy on a traditional Moroccan food tour) but I had some amazing food and my partner who does eat meat also loved it! Thank you!

Excellent food tour through the medina. Because of eid-al-fitr there were some route changes, but we all left full and satisfied!

We participated in an evening tour during Ramadan and were able to still try all the food options. It was nice to experience a variety of Moroccan meals from breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Even with slight showers, the night temperature was very enjoyable. The food portions were very generous so be sure to pace yourself.
